The sixties were a golden era for auto manufacturers, and power-dealers ordered models straight from the General Motors factory. One such dealer, Fred Gibb, ran a dealership in La Harpe, Illinois and placed an order for 50 Camaros to be outfitted with the 427cin, all-aluminum, huge-block engine used in the Can Am Chaparral.
